Speed
Core Web Vitals, Time to First Byte and load time on 4G. A slow site loses visitors before the page even renders.
WebYes certifies Dutch websites on four measurable pillars: speed, security, mobile and accessibility. If a site scores an average of 80 or higher with no pillar below 60, it earns the WebYes mark. Not based on an opinion, but on a measurement anyone can check.
A visitor cannot tell whether a website is technically sound. Does it load fast on a phone? Is the connection properly secured? Can someone using a screen reader get around? All of that stays invisible, until something goes wrong.
Existing trust marks mostly say something about the shop behind the site: reliability, returns, customer service. About the website itself, almost no mark says anything. That is the gap we fill.
The certification is fully automated. The same yardstick for every site, large or small. A score cannot be bought or negotiated: reach 80 and you earn the mark. Fall short and you see exactly what needs improving.

WebYes is new. The free scan is live in beta and the paid certification with badge and annual re-audit is available now. In parallel we are working on the annual report on the state of the Dutch web. Questions about the certification? Send us a message.
